International Update

It appears that the Phillipines has begun to give in to the culture of Death. in the middle of the night, on a 113-104 vote, the lower house voted in favor of a bill called the “RH bill

BREAKING: Philippines Lower House passes anti-life RH bill after 14 years | LifeSiteNews.com.

The bill, which forces taxpayers to fund contraception and abortifacients, was protested strenuously by the nation’s Catholic leadership and faithful, but was pushed by President Benigno Aquino and internationally by pro-abortion groups.

The president is a firm believer in the law, and hopes to sign it this year……and with this, can abortion be far behind?

Perhaps more chilling, the bill has no provision for conscience rights and arrests and jail time are coming……..

on a second front, I learned from my contact in Costa Rica that the verdict on the Case involving IVF in Costa Rica is due to come out next Monday or Tuesday. There is hope, as the decision was not released during the recent session of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights…..but who knows

And all this on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe…the protectress of the unborn.

Pray, unceasingly, that God might intervene and begin to light the candles that will begin the resurgence of the Culture of Life

Out Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!

About St. Anne Center for Reproductive Health

I am a board certified Reproductive Endocrinologist who practiced in the IVF world for 15 years. After seeing the damage that these treatments were causing couples and the complete commodification of life, fueled by a deeper understanding of my Roman Catholic faith, I left the field in 2010. I am currently praying for an end to the culture of death, and hoping to one day have the funding to open the St Anne Center for Reproductive Heath, to provide options for people with challenges to conceive with support and care to follow God's will.
