Asexual human reproduction

Perhaps no one has been thinking about this. But, for me, this is the natural progression from before Humanae Vitae. Aarathi prasad, a PhD in mammalian cell biology has done at least one documentary and has written a book Like a Virgin  where she postulates that there will soon be a time where children can be fully created outside the body. She opines that there will be a time when there will be no need for sperm donation, as sperm will be synthetic, and that there will be artificial wombs that can carry the child, making sex essentially just for fun.

She has coined this “Virgin Birth.” and her theory is not necessarily that far off. In Brave New World, Aldous Huxley first described what became a human IVF laboratory. It was the stuff of science fiction. And now it is real. Who is to say that the slippery slope won’t eventually get this far.
